Aikido is a great martial art for children to practice. Aikido is the only martial art in which both the teachings and the techniques focus on harmonious resolutions to violence. Aikido is not fighting; your child will be able to deal with bullies without becoming one.
The Long Island Aikikai has developed an martial arts program tailored to the needs of children ages 6 to 12 years old. These martial arts classes will not only develop your child’s confidence, self-discipline, cooperation, health and well being; they will help your child remain calm in difficult situations and focused to achieve their full potential.
