Children’s Aikido Classes

Since most martial arts schools teach violence as a way of dealing with conflict, Aikido is a great martial art for children to practice.  Aikido is the only martial art in which the teachings and the techniques focus on harmonious resolutions to violence. Aikido is not fighting; your child will be able to deal with bullies without becoming one.

The Long Island Aikikai has developed an Aikido program tailored to the needs of children ages 6 to 12 years old.  Aikido classes will not only develop your child’s confidence, self-discipline, cooperation, health and well being; they will help your child remain calm in difficult situations and focused to achieve their full potential.
