The Long Island Aikikai is pleased to invite you to our annual – 57th, we think – Etsunengeiko and New Year’s Eve Party. Literally translated as “passing over to the new year in training,” Etsunengeiko is an opportunity for students to reflect on their past year’s practice and re-instill the ideals of the founder as they commit themselves to a new year of training. To that end every year, Hagihara Sensei will again led a class, held in Aikido founders image, from 11:30om New Year’s Eve till 12:30am New Year’s Day. However, in addition to Aikido, it is also a time to eat, drink (if that’s your thing), and be merry. Sleeping accommodations are available.
