Traditional Aikido Since 1964

The Long Island Aikikai is the premier Dojo on Long Island, located in Bay Shore, New York.  Established in 1964, our organization is as old as Aikido is in the United States. Originally founded by Chief Instructor Edward Hagihara in 1964, a student of the founder of Aikido, the mission of the Long Island Aikikai is to help students achieve their potential in the Asian arts.

At our Dojo, men, women, and children, of all ages, benefit from our high quality instruction, our robust class offerings, and a facility that is dedicated to personal improvement. Offering classes in both Aikido and Iaido, the Long Island Aikikai provides instruction for authentic martial arts enthusiasts.

Visitors are always welcome and encouraged to try two free classes. Please click here for more information.
