Literally translated as "passing over to the new year in training," Etsunengeiko is an opportunity for students to reflect on their past year's practice and re-instill the ideals of the founder as they commit themselves to a new year of training. Hagihara Sensei’s Promotion Celebration
Please join us in celebrating Hagihara Sensei’s promotion to the rank of 8th degree black belt. This historic honor was made possible by Yamada Sensei and is a real testament to Hagihara Sensei’s dedication to O-Sensei’s Aikido. Special FREE Class: Defense Against Knife Attacks
There are two main options when dealing with someone with an edged weapon; Escape (which is always your best option) or defense. If defending yourself is the only option then a person must do so with the environment in mind and with an understanding of edged weapons so that a suitable defense/technique can be executed.
